In honor of May Day, the JYF Seedlings made the church a little nicer by adopting four of the planter beds around the church.  The kids weeded the beds (and boy were they weedy!) and then they planted new plants in the beds and the pots in front of the church.  It was a big (and dirty) job but the kids had fun beautifying the property.  They also reused the pansies that needed to come out of the beds by tying them into bouquets and taking them home with them to resurrect the old May Day tradition of leaving flowers on someone’s doorstep.

So the next time you drive by the property or are up at church be sure to check out the kids hard work and enjoy the new landscaping!
