Sowing the Seeds Service 2017

This morning, Forest Park Christian Church in Tulsa, held our first ever “Sowing the Seeds” service to celebrate Shared Ministry and the commitment that church participants are making to sharing their gifts through service in the coming year.  Over the past four weeks, everyone was asked to complete Shared Ministry Interest Surveys to identify their individual gifts and to indicate ways in which they would like to serve. During today’s service, everything from the music to the sermon highlighted giving of oneself through using gifts in service to others.  There were meditations from some of our current volunteers about why they serve, a special slideshow highlighting some of our volunteers (Slideshow Sowing the Seeds service 2017), an introduction of our “tree of service” visual representation of serving and a blessing over all of the returned surveys and commitments that were made to serving.  And, as it’s never to late to commit to using your gifts and to begin serving, if you were unable to return the Shared Ministry Interest Survey, you may still do so online at https://s.surveyplanet.com/ry5f60pO-x or by submitting a paper copy to the Coordinator of Shared Ministries.  2018 promises to be an exciting year of Shared Ministry at Forest Park, and we look forward to what we can all accomplish for the Kingdom of God by putting our gifts to good use!
