Today Forest Park Christian Church, in Tulsa, was in a cheering mood as we welcomed over 100 families in need to come “shop” for their Thanksgiving dinner at the second annual Turkey Tailgate. Prior to the event, James Mission assisted the church in signing up families. Upon arrival, families were welcomed with donuts, fruit and drinks and then assigned to church youth who guided them through the food stations. As youth pulled wagons, families were able to fill them up with items of their choice from stations such as meat, potatoes, vegetables, fruit, sides, breads and desserts. As families exited they were offered popcorn and balloons and church youth assisted them in loading items into their car. Forest Park Christian Church was blessed to be able to help families in our community and we wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!
