We value children and youth by helping them to learn the Christian faith as they develop and examine their own faith in a safe community.
Youth are an integral part of Forest Park. From worship to youth activities to all church functions, young people play prominent roles here.
Youth often have an active role in our worship services from reading scripture to playing an instrument or singing. In addition, Children’s Moment during our service is a time for the younger children to come forward to hear a worship message directed to them. Sunday School is available before worship for children Pre-K through 12th grade and serves to impart Biblical lessons to them in a fun way. In addition, for those that wish, Children’s Church is available during worship to children 4 years of age through second grade. This is a time for them to further explore Biblical teachings in the framework on an engaging activity. For children younger than 4 years of age, the nursery is available during both Sunday School and worship times.
Youth L.I.F.E. is our Youth Ministry for kids from 3rd-12th Grade.
L.I.F.E. stands for Love ~ Involvement ~ Fellowship ~Education. It is with these areas in mind that we structure Youth L.I.F.E. We love our youth and our youth are encouraged to love those around them and to practice love in the community and in their interactions with others. They are involved in many aspects of our congregation. They enjoy fellowship with one another and they learn lessons and engage in studies to encourage their growth and to guide them on their own faith journey.
Youth LIFE groups:
JYF Seedlings (3rd-5th) is designed to encourage connections between this age group and to teach them lessons of service.
Chi Rho (6th-8th) is designed to allow these youth to form deep spiritual bonds with one another in an attempt to build self-esteem and continue on the path of Christ.
CYF (9th-12th) is designed to allow the youth to go deeper in their faith while being supported by peers and adults who care deeply about their spiritual growth.
