What is Christmas in July??  We have seen slides, heard announcements, and even witnessed the front of the sanctuary being used for Christmas in July, but what is it?  Quite simply, Christmas in July is the realization that the giving and joyous spirit experienced at Christmas should not just be experienced once a year.  The Outreach Commission is using the entire month of July to accept donations of non-perishable food items for a local food bank.  The last Sunday in July (July 26th) will be the culmination of our efforts.  This celebration will be a Christmas worship experience!  Don’t you love it when Joy to the World is sung?  Isn’t it exciting when we proclaim as the angels did GLORY to the newborn king?  Let’s channel our Christmas energy and spirit and use it for a God’s purpose EVEN in the summer time.  So remember, when you are at the store, buy a few more canned goods or other non-perishable items to bring and share with those who have none.  The needy are not just needy in December!
