It’s Valentine’s Day-the holiday of love and what better way to celebrate than to share some love with others. The JYF Seedlings were spreading more cheer and love this week by decorating Valentine cookies to take to the fire station (they might have each eaten one too!!).  Each of the kids had four cookies to decorate and they did a terrific job.  They seemed to have a lot of fun coming up with different decorating ideas and getting creative with frosting, colored sugar and M &M’s.  Hopefully fire men enjoy heavily sugared cookies!  The cookies actually looked really good and they were very excited about delivering them at the station.

The kids also wrote short sayings on paper hearts that were set out on the pews at church on Valentine’s Day.  Everyone seemed to enjoy the surprise when they came in and found a Valentine wish from the Seedlings.  These kids are really getting into the spirit of caring for others!
