This summer, after the success of the Outreach commission’s Iron Gate volunteer day in 2015, two volunteer days were scheduled for church members to have the opportunity to spend a few hours serving people in the community. Our first group volunteered in June and the second group volunteered in August. In total, about 30 different individuals from Forest Park, including youth and children, volunteered by packaging and distributing food and toiletry items to Iron Gate clients in downtown Tulsa. Volunteers enjoyed serving and meeting with the clients and described the event as awesome. This year was once again a gratifying experience for our volunteers and a good opportunity to spread a little care and love!
