The youth at Forest Park Christian Church in Tulsa participated in the Souper Bowl again this year by collecting non-perishable food and personal care items for Broken Arrow Neighbors.  With their combined efforts, the CYF, Chi Rho and JYF kids were able to collect 474 items!

Before the big game, the older youth played a shopping game at the store in which they not only purchased many items for the collection, but also got to see how to shop smart and buy a good amount of product without breaking the bank.  The younger kids had a bake off contest and talked about how not all people in our community have extra food on their shelves.

At the game, the JYF kids, including the friends of a few of the kids, squared off in a unique version of football that required them to move forward only if they hopped with the ball between their legs.  The older kids cheered them on and provided a halftime show and commercials.  Coach Mike and Coach Bill may have been more invested in the game than the kids but Ref Jeff kept everyone in line!

After the game, everyone enjoyed some snacks and fellowship in Hutton Hall.

The weather may have been a bit blustery, but everyone had a good time knowing they were helping those in need in the community!
