Forest Park Christian Church in Tulsa decked the halls  with the Christmas spirit today in our 3rd annual Christmas in July celebration.  The Christmas themed service, including Christmas carols and a Christmas anthem by the choir, serves to remind us that the spirit of giving and caring that is so often recognized at Christmas time is really present all year.  Evidence of that is the hundreds of items, from non-perishable food to personal care products, that were collected by Forest Park participants over the past month in order to help keep the shelves at Broken Arrow Neighbors filled during the often overlooked summer months.  And the giving doesn’t end there-the collection will continue during the remainder of the month and is scheduled to culminate with a service day at Broken Arrow Neighbors in which Forest Parkers can help by shelving the donated items.

So, “Merry Christmas in July” and may the spirit of caring, the spirit of Christ’s love, be present in your life always!
